About Kesha:

Kesha Rai is a dancer and choreographer who embodies Kathak and contemporary movement. She creates work that is rich in detail and experimentally reconsiders contemporary South Asian dance. Her curiosity and exposure to a wide range of movement practices informs and invigorates her choreographic voice.

Drawing from her artistic experiences between India and the UK, Kesha explores how movement can challenge expectations placed upon South Asian bodies within contemporary performance, whilst opening broader, universal conversations around culture, memory, identity, belonging, and the stories we carry. Her work brings together multiple influences and movement languages, creating space for tradition, innovation, and lived experience to exist in dialogue with one another.

Kesha is an Associate Artist with Aakash Odedra Company, an Associate Artist at The Place, and a Curve Resident Creative.
