Brum Pro Class with Gabbie Cook

Gabbie is an ex-gymnast turned dance and circus artist, specialised in the fusion of contemporary dance with acrodance and Chinese pole.

She has toured nationally and internationally with a wide variety of dance, circus and physical theatre companies. Most recently, she has worked with renowned directors Vicki Amedume and Theresa Heskins on ‘The Company of Wolves’ and with multi-award winning Valencian company DelsAltres in their work ‘Verde Casi Negro. She is also a maker and movement director, developing work for stage, street theatre and screen.

She have 10+ years teaching experience and speciliases in working with dancers and acrobats to diversify their training and technique. Her teaching journey began coaching elite and recreational artistic gymnastics. A few years after graduating from The Northern School of Contemporary Dance (2014), she completed a highly-attended UK workshop tour to a broad range of dance and circus spaces throughout the country.
