About the event
About Marso:
Marso made his choreographic debut in 2005, and whilst drawing inspiration from his pioneers (Robert Hylton, Victor Quijada) in hybrid movement genres, he developed his own language and methodology, blurring the lines between Capoeira, Breaking and Contemporary Dance. Marso, founder of Cie Decalage, is known for his unique style of movement and delivers performance, education, and residency work across the dance sector both in the UK and abroad.
*NOTE* Marso will be teaching Brum Pro class with his collaborator Jamaal O'Driscoll!
A bit about Jamaal:
Jamaal O’Driscoll is a Birmingham-based dance artist, choreographer and founder of O’Driscoll Collective, established in 2019. Working primarily through breaking, hip-hop theatre and community engagement, Jamaal creates work that explores identity, individuality, mental health and social connection.
